Introduction

Welcome to the International Nihon Goshin Aikido Headquarters. I'm Shihan Robert MacEwen, Jr. Director of the Nihon Goshin Aikido Association which was established by Richard A. Bowe. Shihan Bowe brought this art back from Japan and opened his dojo in Guttenberg, NJ, in 1963. On September 24, 1980 I opened my dojo in Middletown, New York, and have been running over 20 classes a week ever since. In May of 2019 Mr. Bowe promoted me to the rank of Shihan, the only Black Belt ever to receive such a rank from him, as well as passing the art onto me as the International Director for the art of Nihon Goshin Aikido.
Today I want to introduce a new opportunity, where you can train directly with our dojo without ever leaving home, or your dojo. The online classes being offered give you a chance to train with Myself as well as some of my top instructors throughout the country, using our structured proven course. This format has worked for over 55 years.
This program will guide you through the necessary steps from the rank of White belt to Black belt. All students taking advantage of this program will achieve their rank by doing the same hard work as students training directly in our dojo. What you put into it is what you get out of it. This program is not for those only interested in rank. It is open for all who want to enhance their own personal training and knowledge. We will be scheduling classes every week to put you on the mat with all the other students and you will be able to interact with questions as well. I ask that you register early since space is limited.
Since 1963 the Nihon Goshin Aikido Association has had tens of thousands of students enjoy the full range of self defense techniques that this art has to offer. The Nihon Goshin Aikido Association has study guides to help you along your journey to the rank of Black Belt. These study guides include, books, DVD's, and technique notes, etc. which are available on line at our web site ngaheadquarters.com.
All testing will be done on a one on one basis through Skype, Zoom etc., with a certified Black Belt instructor from the Nihon Goshin Aikido Association over seeing the scheduled test.
When a student passes a ranking test, the student will receive an official diploma from the International headquarters in New York, signed by the testing instructor, and Shihan MacEwen. You can register by the class, monthly, quarterly, or yearly, by going to ngaheadquarters.com, TODAY!. Remember, Nihon Goshin Aikido is "Where Self Defense is a Science, Not a Sideline." We look forward to seeing you there!
